General Description of Position
This posting is a general pool application to volunteer in the athletics department at the SCC Lincoln campus. This position is unpaid.
Athletic programs at the Lincoln campus include Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country, and ESports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities vary depending on the sport and specific assignment. The
responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  1. Assisting with player recruitment
  2. Scouting and viewing films of upcoming games
  3. Driving vans to away games
  4. Advising student-athletes in their pursuit of athletic goals
  5. Teaching basic and complicated skills
  6. Working with the media
  7. Attendance at both games and practices
  8. Development of strength and conditioning for practice season
  9. Supervising the gym, or other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  1. Ability to lift and carry up to (50) fifty pounds for short distances, and move tables, chairs, and media equipment.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing, in person, and on the phone.
  3. The individual must possess the above skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
