Baystate Health, western Massachusetts's premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence seeks a Full Time Registered Nurse Clinical Education Coordinator supporting Med/Surg/Tele at Baystate Wing Hospital.
Summary
Clinical Education Coordinator (Unit/Specialty based) enhances practice through evidence-based education, teaching, mentoring and hands-on support. Reporting to the Director Clinical Education. The coordinator works evenings, nights, and weekend schedules with limited time on day shift to meet evolving workforce and healthcare system needs, serving as a strategic partner in advancing nursing care delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct, hands-on support at the point of care
  • Ensures educational content is enculturated in practice
  • Tailor educational approaches to meet the needs of the diverse populations served across the health system.
  • Provides support for new staff
  • Promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment through education and role modeling.
  • Assist with rollout of new initiatives
  • Maintain current clinical and educational competencies relevant to the role and evolving practice standards.
  • Lead and support change initiatives, serving as a proactive change agent within the organization.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities with flexibility and adaptability in dynamic healthcare settings.
  • Serve as a role model for professional development and champion the concept of lifelong learning.

SCHEDULE:
  • Hours are 8pm-8:30am
  • 36 hours per week
  • May require travel

QUALIFICATIONS (required):
  • BSN required
  • RN Massachusetts (required)
  • 3 years of clinical experience
  • Experience teaching/precepting individuals or groups of students or staff; experience as a charge nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS (preferred):
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience with project management, data analytics, professional development coordination
  • Certification in specialty area preferred

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
