Job description

The Operations Game Day Internship is designed for LOCAL college students to explore what a career in the sport industry, is all about! This position helps you get hands-on experience working in the business of baseball on a game day, related to game day operations and guest services. The game day internship program, will expose students to a variety of game day roles, and will allow students to learn and work alongside our front office staff members.
You will experience what it is like to work in multiple departments, the program is designed to assist students in choosing which specific direction they want to take in their sport's career.
Timeline:The program will begin in April/May and will conclude in August/September, we will work with school schedule as needed. Interns are expected to be present for all games they are scheduled for, will be paid $8.50 per hour, we will work with you to receive school credit as needed.
Although, interns will not be scheduled to work 100% of the games, we are looking for qualified candidates that have open availability. We acknowledge that most colleges and universities do not end the school semester until May. The program is able to work with individuals that are still attending classes at that time.
Hours:
Game day report time is approximately 2 hours prior to first pitch (5:00PM for a standard 7:05PM game), and will be dismissed shortly after the game ends when all responsibilities are finished.
College Credit/Compensation:
Game Day Interns are able to earn college credit.
Experience Includes:
โ€ข Assist in general game day setup of the facility
โ€ข Manage parking lots and service in lots as assigned
โ€ข Handle customer service inquires during games
โ€ข Handle all guest services, and game day guest interfacing roles
โ€ข Concierge for high profile clients, as requested
โ€ข Security and facility security management
โ€ข Ensure cleanliness of stadium throughout games
โ€ข Opportunity to for special projects (baseball camps, ballpark events, etc.)
โ€ข Other responsibilities related to game day operations as assigned by Front Office members
Course Objectives:
Students participating in the Program will be exposed to a professional working experience and will gain valuable information in the following categories:
โ€ข The importance of event logistics and timing
โ€ข Providing customer service & problem solving
โ€ข Working as a team to reach a goal
WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT LOCAL STUDENTS FOR THIS PROGRAM. YOU MUST BE IN A COLLEGE PROGRAM AND BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
