Position Title: Operations Intern
Location: ForeFront Field - Avon, Ohio
Term: Fall Internship (August - December)
Compensation: Unpaid - College Credit Only
(Paid Opportunities Available for certain events)
About ForeFront Field
ForeFront Field is a premier multi-use sports and entertainment venue in Avon, Ohio. We host over 200 events annually, including Lake Erie Crushers baseball games, Lorain County Leviathan SC soccer matches, high school and collegiate athletics, concerts, festivals, carnivals, MMA and boxing events, and Baseball championships.
Position Overview
The Stadium Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience in both the planning and execution of events at a busy sports and entertainment venue. This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Sports Management, Facility Management, Event Management, or related fields. Interns will assist with event planning, setup and breakdown, field and facility preparation, and game-day operations across a wide variety of events.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing events including baseball, soccer, concerts, and special events
  • Support game-day operations
  • Assist with setup and teardown for all events
  • Help prepare and maintain playing surfaces, seating areas, locker rooms, and common areas
  • Assist with signage, field markings, equipment placement, and event logistics
  • Support staff with crowd flow, basic guest services, and operational needs
  • Monitor facility cleanliness and safety during events
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Work closely with the Stadium Operations team to ensure smooth event execution

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university and eligible to receive academic credit
  • Interest in sports management, event operations, facility management, or a related field
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and working outdoors
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Schedule & Commitment
  • Internship runs from August through December
  • Hours vary based on event schedule (including nights and weekends)
