Material Delivery Professionals (MDPs) are responsible for the delivery of aggregate and ready-mix concrete to various job sites (commercial and residential) in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a BARD Brand Ambassador
  • Safely operate truck in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations
  • Complete pre and post trip inspection of truck
  • Operate truck to receive load, inspect batch and drive to job site
  • Conduct adjustments to batch at jobsites in accordance to order specifications
  • Deliver product to specified job location
  • Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good customer service.
  • Documents unusual conditions, including but not limited to; sub grade, additional water, poor practices, and testing.
  • Ability to assess job sites to identify any hazardous conditions
  • Safely maneuver truck on job site, attach chutes to discharge material
  • Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Keep inside and outside of truck clean.
  • Documents and communicates with appropriate departments any variances along with any job site construction issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding for customer needs
  • Provide superior service for internal/external customers.
  • Identify and resolve any customer complaints and/or forward to the appropriate individual or department.
  • The ability to speak clearly and operate two-way radios according to Federal Communication Commission regulations and company policy.
  • Has a Commercial Drivers License with airbrake endorsement and is able to maintain the license according to Federal Safety Regulations, and company policy. Has a valid Medical DOT card.
  • Willing to work Monday through Saturday as weather and business conditions warrant.
  • Capable of multi-task coordination, performing driving and plant duties, as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Inspects truck/mixer equipment, including but not limited to tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, and all other fluid levels. Checks for loose or worn components and performs preventive maintenance service and minor repairs as required. Cleans windows, mirrors, and maintains interior of truck in clean and safe condition.
  • Drives/backs truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and start mixer in charge.
  • Assembles and disassembles concrete delivery chutes on mixer at delivery site.
  • Operates equipment on truck to discharge concrete down chute into wheelbarrow, misc. conveying containers, skid loaders, directly into area to be poured with concrete, or into concrete pump hopper.
  • Cleans mixer drum, hopper, and chutes after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in drum, hopper, and chutes on truck using water hose, shovel, and/or scraper (hand held).
  • Communicates respectfully and is able to collaborate with others

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
Valid Class A or B CDL Required*, Valid state driver license required
Ability to pass a DOT physical annually and hold a valid Med Card, including drug screen.
