The Bar Manager work alongside bar Team Members, providing beverage service in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Directs and oversees the daily operations of the bar and its staff including beverage preparation, production, and control.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

A minimum of two years’ previous experience in a supervisory position in a similar setting is preferred. Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be over the age of 21 and able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides guidance and leadership to bar staff.
  • Works in the bar providing Guest service as needed and directed by General Manager.
  • Attending Management meetings.
  • Assist with maintaining, stocking, and storage of all supplies to the bar and bar areas, following all governmental health and safety codes.
  • Daily checks all refrigeration units, verifying temperature controls remain at correct levels.
  • Orders products as needed to ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Maintains proper staffing levels based on business needs.
  • Recommends and delivers disciplinary actions to staff when needed to address performance, attendance, or misconduct issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall organization of bar areas, including beverage coolers.
  • Check for expiration dates on all perishable products.
  • Complies with all Federal, State, and Local Laws pertaining to alcohol sales and safety.
  • Keeps accurate inventory counts of all beverage and bar supplies, ensuring adequate levels are maintained and minimizing spoilage of perishable items through proper rotation and correct temperature controls.
  • Supervises Bartenders and Cocktail Servers, insuring they are properly trained and have the tools, supplies, and equipment needed to correctly perform their job duties.
  • Plan, assign, and direct bar employees’ work duties and tasks.
  • Makes fair and consistent decisions regarding sending employees home early as business needs warrant.
  • Be knowledgeable of and able to uphold all Company policies.
  • Communicates to Management any work-related issues that occur during assigned shifts, including employee relations, performance, facility, or safety issues.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by management.


Work Environment and ADA Requirements:

Must be able to stand for entire shift. Must be able to work in an environment with loud background noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, twist, crouch, squat, lift. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to move kegs of beer weighing more than 100 lbs. on a regular basis. When on duty, must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
