Quirk Hotel is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Bartender Manager to join our team! Quirk Hotel is an organization whose success is rooted in its service culture. This role would directly oversee bar operations for our Rooftop and Lobby bars. It involves 2 floor supervising shifts (at $20 an hour) and 2-3 bartending shifts (at $11 an hour plus tips). We are looking for a people person looking for leadership growth, who has passion for hospitality and craft beverages. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads the team by setting a positive example with strong guest interactions, being a people person, following proper steps, maintaining a tidy space, and giving respectful instruction
  • Handles beer and liquor ordering
  • Guides menu development and ensures consistency when crafting beverages across the bar
  • Ensures each bartender is performing to standards, informed about upcoming changes, and other need to knows
  • Supervises the restaurant 2 shifts a week. The other 3 shifts would be done from behind the bar.
  • Upsells and has the ability to make natural suggestions tp guide guests
  • Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented
  • Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
  • Totals checks, presents to guests and accept payment
  • Create classic and craft cocktails to our recipe standards
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of bar leadership
  • Minimum of three (3) years in hotel/restaurant bartending role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Team player
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
  • Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Ability to work in the direct sun for full shifts
  • Willingness to work holidays as needed
