Job description

Do you love the hospitality industry? Looking for an upbeat atmosphere? We are looking for an energetic, creative, driven, and self-motivated PM Banquet Set Up team member at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport. A Banquet Set Up team member handles setting up all tables/chairs, table skirting and AV equipment for banquet space following set-up diagrams provided.
  • Maintain proper uniform, clean and free of excessive wrinkles.
  • Properly set up banquet room(s) as instructed.
  • Always follow health and safety practices
  • Respond promptly to any guest request.
  • Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success.
  • During set up, support all work areas including any side work duties for overall productivity and success of the event.
  • Once banquet is complete all tables/chairs, table skirting and AV equipment to put back in storage and re-set for next event according to directions given by manager.
  • Work areas must be cleaned and wiped down, and all side duties must be completed before punching out for your shift.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Passion for service and the hospitality industry
  • Effective communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail, efficiency, consistency, and organization are necessary. Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep up with a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to carry tray to shoulder weighing up to 50 lbs. without aid.
  • Able to stand and/or walk entire shift.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work nights, and weekends on a full-time basis.
