Pediatric Nocturnist with Banner Children's.
Become part of a collaborative, dynamic community hospitalist team committed to delivering exceptional inpatient care for pediatric patients and newborns! Banner Children's Specialists (BCS) is seeking a Pediatric Nocturnist to provide inpatient care for children and newborns at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
Position Overview:
  • 1.0 FTE
  • Care for pediatric inpatients and newborns at a community-based hospital with robust specialist support.
  • Night shift is 7pm-7am. Scheduling is 7 days on, 7 days off to foster work life balance.
  • Competitive base salary with wRVU productivity incentives and night shift differential.
Qualifications:
  • Pediatric Residency completion
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Pediatrics
  • Arizona license and DEA (or ability to obtain)
  • Board certification in pediatric hospital medicine is not required. New residency graduates are encouraged to apply!

Serving a pediatric population of 350,000+, Banner Children's at Desert (BDMC) in Mesa is a state-of-the-art, 206-bed children's hospital that was opened in November 2009. Banner Children's at Desert was designed Through the Eyes of a Child, meaning it has all the comforts of home and does not feel institutional. The hospital is meant to inspire healing, learning, and imagination. Our Child Life professionals play an active role in ensuring children feel safe and prepared for the hospital experience. Non-procedure zones, such as the Forever Young Zone, Sophie's Place, and the Big Outside, are used for music, play therapy, respite, and relaxation.

  • This hospital has a 120 bed Level 3 NICU staffed by Neonatologists along with a 24 bed PICU with 24/7 in-house intensivist coverage.
