WHAT DOES A SENIOR EXPERIENCE DESIGNER - BANNER DO?

The Senior Experience Designer – Banner is a seasoned, hands-on individual contributor operating at the intersection of design, technology, and brand within our HTML media banner practice. This role exists to transform creative vision into high-quality, production-ready digital experiences that balance brand expression, motion, and media performance. 

Senior Experience Designers are trusted practitioners who operate with a high degree of autonomy, applying sound judgment and deep expertise to navigate complexity, solve execution challenges, and consistently deliver work that meets both creative intent and technical standards. They contribute strategically to execution while remaining deeply engaged in the craft—leading through expertise, influencing design direction, and ensuring quality from concept through delivery. 

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of HTML media banner production, motion design, modular thinking, and the technical constraints of digital advertising. Senior Experience Designers collaborate closely with Art, Copy, Development, and fellow Experience Designers to create scalable, brand-aware solutions that are both creatively compelling and technically sound.

  • Applying Design Judgment: Evaluating tradeoffs, resolving design challenges, incorporating feedback, and making informed execution decisions that balance creative intent, technical feasibility, and production quality.  

  • Mentoring Through Practice: Elevating fellow Experience Designers through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and leading by example.  

Qualifications

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required. 

  • Experience within pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries. 

  • Experience contributing to or governing design systems. 

  • Basic understanding of HTML as it relates to media banner production. 

  • Experience optimizing creative for performance marketing objectives. 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). 

Experience & Training 

  • 6–8 years of experience in digital, motion, animation, or interactive design.  

  • Experience designing HTML media banners within pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.  

  • Experience contributing to or working within design systems.  

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Art, Copy, Development, and other designers.  

  • Experience optimizing creative for performance marketing objectives. 

Technology Proficiency 

  • Proficiency in Figma (required). 

  • Proficiency in timeline-based motion design and animation software. 

  • Understanding of responsive and modular frameworks.
