Job Title: VP Client Partner - Commercial Banking - New York
Location: NYC - should be flexible to travel to client office
Seeking a senior Commercial Banking professional to accelerate growth within its strategic banking accounts. This role will be responsible for establishing and expanding relationships with Commercial Banking leaders at large U.S. banks where client has an established presence and is looking to expand in Commercial Banking area.
The individual will leverage deep industry expertise and executive relationships to identify opportunities across Commercial Banking, Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Credit Risk, and Operations. Working closely with account teams, solution leaders, and delivery teams, the role will help position client's Data, Analytics, AI, and Operations capabilities to address key Commercial Banking priorities and drive incremental revenue growth.
This is a highly consultative, relationship-driven role focused on executive engagement, opportunity creation, account expansion, and long-term client partnership development.
Responsibilities
Commercial Banking Account Expansion

  • Develop and execute Commercial Banking growth plans within existing strategic banking accounts.
  • Establish relationships with Commercial Banking business leaders and key decision-makers.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities across Commercial Banking, Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Risk, and Operations.
  • Partner with existing account teams to expand EXL's footprint and increase wallet share.
Executive Relationship Development
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with Commercial Banking executives and business leaders.
  • Leverage industry network and market knowledge to create access to new buying centers.
  • Facilitate executive conversations around growth, risk, efficiency, and transformation priorities.
Opportunity Origination & Solution Shaping
  • Identify and qualify opportunities aligned to Commercial Banking priorities.
  • Shape client conversations around data, analytics, AI, and operational transformation.
  • Partner with EXL domain and solution teams to develop compelling business cases and proposals.
  • Support opportunity pursuits through executive presentations, workshops, and strategic account planning.
Market Leadership
  • Maintain deep understanding of Commercial Banking trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide market intelligence and thought leadership to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Represent EXL at industry forums, client events, and executive briefings.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Banking, banking consulting, financial services consulting, or banking technology/services.
  • Deep expertise in Commercial Banking, including Commercial Lending, Treasury Management, Credit Risk, Client Coverage, and Banking Operations.
  • Strong relationships with senior Commercial Banking executives across large U.S. banks.
  • Proven success in opening new buying centers and expanding business within existing client accounts.
  • Experience influencing and selling to senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data, analytics, AI, and technology-led transformation in banking.
  • Exceptional executive presence and relationship-building skills.
