Job description :
To direct the activities of the personnel within the bun production and packaging areas in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures; federal, state and local regulations, that will ensure the most efficient and effective production of the highest quality bakery products, under the safest and most sanitary conditions possible.
This position will work a varied schedule, with days and times depending on specific line schedule (weekend work required).
Activities
Continuously monitor the settings and operations of all equipment to ensure their proper operation, in accordance with company standards.
Continuously monitor and control all of the process standards relative to mixing, fermentation, dividing, molding, proofing, baking, slicing packaging and coding.
Ensure the adequate supply of all materials needed to complete the production requirements.
Continuously monitor the completion of all process control and quality assurance documents to ensure their accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct training and indoctrination of hourly employees in their job functions, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety and company policies.
Complete all required documents and reports per company and departmental policies and procedures, accurately and in a timely fashion.
Maintain communications with department head relative to any and all issues regarding employees, equipment, process control, quality, safety or sanitation.
Report any and all maintenance and or sanitation issues to the Maintenance and / or Sanitation Departments to ensure a safe, sanitary and productive area.
Consul and, when necessary, discipline employees in order to maintain a safe, sanitary and productive workplace.
Hear and resolve employee grievances at the step one level.
As time and conditions permit, assist other departments, as needed.
All other duties assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Able to work on feet for the entire shift.
Perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and, bending.
Work in high ambient temperatures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills
MS Office - capable in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.
Good communication and leadership skills
Experience (Years/Type):
3 years of manufacturing experience.
1 years of prior Supervisory experience.
