About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Clerk / Purchasing Administrator to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Maintenance Clerk / Purchasing Administrator, you will be accountable for managing maintenance purchasing activities, inventory control, and documentation while supporting maintenance planning, cost control, and operational reliability.
Shift & Schedule
  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Hours: 6AM - 2:30PM
  • Weekend Availability: As needed, days off Saturday & Sunday

Compensation
  • Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $23.25

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
  • Manage maintenance purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and ensuring accounting compliance
  • Maintain spare parts inventory accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns to support equipment uptime and reliability
  • Utilize SAP CMMS to track inventory, reduce costs, and support maintenance planning and execution
  • Coordinate receiving, stocking, and physical movement of maintenance materials and spare parts
  • Generate and deliver weekly and monthly purchasing, inventory, and budget reports to department leadership
  • Support maintenance policies, procedures, and World Class Manufacturing principles within the maintenance storeroom
  • Represent the company professionally when working with vendors, suppliers, and external contractors

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to prepare routine reports and communicate effectively with employees and vendors
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or industrial plant environment
  • Experience managing maintenance storerooms, inventory metrics, and purchasing processes
  • Familiarity with Crystal Report Writer
  • Experience supporting capital projects and maintenance budgeting activities
