Summary

The Operations Analyst is responsible for performing energy accounting checkouts, and general support for the various teams within Gridforce including office management, project management, operations, training, and compliance. 

Primary Duties

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual NERC Inadvertent energy checkout process with customers and counter parties using several systems in different time zones
  • Perform monthly reserve sharing pool event checkouts for energy volumes and issue invoices to appropriate entities on behalf of clients
  • Collection and compilation of NERC compliance evidence to ensure compliance with Federal Regulatory Requirements
  • Project management activities for internal and external projects including meeting coordination, task assignments, and follow ups with resources
  • Procurement of hardware and software for customer projects and internal projects
  • Oversight of vendor and contractor onsite maintenance activities for NERC CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) physical security systems and life support equipment
  • Support staff and project onboarding activities
  • Maintain NERC documents and organizational documents on SharePoint

Working Relationships

The Operations Analyst reports to the Business Operations Supervisor but will work closely with other teams within Gridforce.

Compensation

The initial compensation will range from $76.400 - $88.000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required and at least 3 years’ experience with data analysis, strong communication skills, and strong MS Office skills

Specific Skills and Knowledge

Effective verbal and written communication required. Must possess strong analytic skills and problem solving. Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, good organizational skills, strong time management skills, team player, eager to learn, positive attitude. Working knowledge of electric generation, transmission, origination, or trading is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This position works in an office environment and will require the ability to sit for long periods of time and handle long periods of screen time. Will require some travel to various data centers across Texas. Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday during normal business hours, but this position supports a 24 x 7 business so will be subject to calls in off hours during emergencies.

Fit for Duty

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
