Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
  • Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Art courses up to 10 hours/week
  • Organize and teach all levels of Art classes
  • Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
  • Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
  • Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
  • Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired

REQUIRED DUTIES:
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies OR
  • Bachelor's in art history AND Master's in history OR
  • Master's in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history OR
  • The equivalent
    • EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT: All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
