Job description

Summary

The Section of General Internal Medicine (GIM) and Geriatrics is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to provide support for Baylor Medicine Hospitalist and outpatient service lines. This role supports the daily business operations, including provider credentialing, maintaining provider schedules, and day-to-day administrative support. This position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

• Provides day-to-day operational support of the Baylor Medicine Service Lines in GIM and Geriatrics.
• Leads provider credentialing including BaylorMedCare and St. Lukes credentialing, including the tracking of credentialing status, initial credentialing, and re-credentialing.
• Maintains schedules in QGenda and work with Medical Director to ensure correct coverage at all times.
• Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, and takes meeting minutes and action items.
• Audits provider billing and compliance.
• Process supplemental payments for faculty for moonlighting and other additional assignments.
• Provides administrative support to the Medical Directors.
• Provides administrative support to faculty including processing reimbursements, travel requests, and ordering of supplies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Experience using EPIC.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
