Job Description

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure System Administrator to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of hybrid corporate environments, combining on-premise infrastructure and public cloud services.

The role will focus on the day-to-day administration of systems, virtualization, storage, backup, critical infrastructure services, and advanced technical support for production environments.

The candidate will participate in infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code, mainly with Terraform for provisioning and state management, and Ansible for configuration management and idempotency, working with modular, reusable code versioned in Git.

The scope of the role is focused on infrastructure deployment and operations, not application deployment, which falls under the DevOps area.

Experience in on-premise Kubernetes administration at infrastructure level will be valued, including nodes, cluster networking, persistent storage, certificates, etcd, and version upgrades.

In networking, practical knowledge of corporate networks, VLAN/VXLAN segmentation, routing and switching, DNS/DHCP, site-to-site VPNs, firewall policies, and interconnection between on-premise networks and cloud environments is required.

Knowledge of NAC, BGP, and network fabrics based on Extreme Networks Fabric will be valued.

The candidate will also participate in advanced, code-based management of infrastructure and networking in public cloud environments, mainly AWS, including VPCs, peering, transit/VPN gateways, hybrid connectivity, and IAM.

Additional experience with Google Cloud or Azure will be valued due to the transferability of knowledge across cloud platforms.

Knowledge of database administration at infrastructure and operational level will also be valued, including relational and non-relational databases such as SQL / PostgreSQL and MongoDB. This is not an essential requirement.

The profile should contribute to maintaining a stable, documented, secure, and repeatable infrastructure, applying operational best practices and supporting the continuous improvement of the managed environments.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in system administration and operation of shared IT infrastructure in production environments.
  • Experience working in high-technology environments and/or systems analysis, with a strong operational focus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with infrastructure, security, DevOps, and application teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and propose practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Ability to respond effectively to critical incidents, system outages, and high-pressure operational situations.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document technical work clearly.
  • Familiarity with structured IT processes and Agile ways of working will be valued.
