Job Description:Seeking an experienced Data Architect to support enterprise data warehouse modernization initiatives through enterprise data architecture, logical and physical data modeling, ETL design, source-to-target mapping, governance, and data optimization activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in large-scale database systems, Azure-based data platforms, ETL engineering, SQL, Spark, Python, and Scala while supporting secure, compliant, and high-performing enterprise data solutions. This role requires hands-on experience designing Operational Data Stores (ODS), data warehouses, data marts, data lineage, metadata standards, governance procedures, and performance optimization while ensuring regulatory, security, privacy, and audit readiness requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define enterprise logical and physical data models for large-scale data environments
  • Develop source-to-target mappings and transformation strategies for enterprise systems
  • Design Operational Data Stores (ODS), data warehouses, and data mart structures
  • Establish data standards, metadata rules, naming conventions, and governance procedures
  • Define and maintain data quality rules, validation standards, and lineage processes
  • Lead enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and data distribution strategies
  • Optimize database performance, indexing, batch processing, error handling, and recovery strategies
  • Support high-performance ETL pipeline development and enterprise data integration
  • Partner with developers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders to align enterprise data architecture needs
  • Produce technical documentation for models, mappings, governance standards, and audit readiness


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise data architecture best practices
  • Advise teams on integration patterns, modeling strategies, and technology selection
  • Support regulatory, privacy, traceability, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain secure and compliant data governance frameworks including RBAC implementation
  • Complete department security awareness requirements and background verification activities
  • Support continuous improvements in enterprise data management and modernization efforts


Required Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years managing large and complex DBMS environments
  • Minimum 7 years of ETL development and data engineering experience
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Purview
  • Strong SQL development and optimization expertise
  • Experience building scalable and high-performance ETL pipelines
  • Expertise in Spark, Python, and/or Scala for data processing
  • Strong understanding of Azure data governance, RBAC, and security protocols

Qualifications:
