Job description

Job Summary:
AMETEK is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions, and they are seeking a SASE Network Engineer. The role involves designing, implementing, and operating cloud-delivered networking and security solutions to ensure secure connectivity for distributed users and applications.
Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy SASE and SSE solutions including CASB, SWG, ZTNA, and related capabilities.
• Architect secure access solutions across cloud, internet, and private environments.
• Integrate SASE with SD-WAN, identity providers, and cloud platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routing, VPNs, and cloud connectivity.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and threat protection.
• Administer and support the organization’s SASE platform including policies, traffic steering, SSL inspection, and client deployment.
• Monitor performance and analyze logs to troubleshoot and optimize security posture.
• Support integrations with IAM, SIEM, and endpoint security tools.
• Develop automation scripts and maintain documentation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years in network engineering, cloud security, or cybersecurity
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SSE/SASE platforms (e.g., Netskope, Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of SASE and Zero Trust principles
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with multi-vendor SASE and security tools
• Experience with monitoring and SIEM tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong troubleshooting across networking and security
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience in large enterprise environments
• Continuous learning mindset aligned with SASE and cloud trends
Preferred:
• SASE/SSE vendor certifications (e.g., Zscaler ZDTA, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent)
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies
• Familiarity with enterprise firewall and perimeter security solutions
• Knowledge of DLP programs and data classification
• Understanding of Zero Trust frameworks
