Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Design Azure-centric solution architectures that orchestrate Azure Event Grid, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Data Factory to deliver reliable event-driven integration patterns for complex banking workflows
  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end data processing pipelines that ingest, transform, and store high-volume investment banking and brokerage data in Azure Data Lake Store while ensuring scalability, performance, and operational resilience
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams to translate investment banking operations requirements into technical blueprints that align with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory expectations
  • Optimize Azure Data Factory workflows, including mapping data flows and orchestrations, to reduce latency, improve throughput, and maintain consistent data quality across upstream and downstream systems
  • Configure and manage Azure Key Vault usage across applications to safeguard secrets, certificates, and encryption keys, and to support secure application integration for confidential financial information
  • Implement event-driven patterns using Azure Event Grid and Azure Functions to support near-real-time processing of trade events, settlements, and reconciliations with clear fault-handling and monitoring strategies
  • Guide application and data teams on integration with Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation and straight-through processing across trading platforms, market data feeds, and back-office systems
  • Establish standards for logging, monitoring, and alerting across Azure services, ensuring observability of data pipelines and event-driven functions and enabling timely response to incidents that could affect business operations
  • Evaluate existing architectures and recommend modernization strategies to move legacy data and integration workloads into Azure-native services while minimizing risk and downtime for critical investment banking processes
  • Document architecture decisions, design patterns, interface contracts, and security controls in a clear and accessible manner to support future audits, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across technology teams
  • Coordinate with security and risk stakeholders to validate that encryption, access controls, network configurations, and secret management within Azure adhere to internal policies and external regulatory frameworks for financial institutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and architects by reviewing solution designs, code implementations, and deployment pipelines, thereby reinforcing best practices in cloud architecture and data engineering
  • Participate in hybrid work model ceremonies, including design reviews, sprint planning, and architecture forums during day shifts, to ensure consistent communication and alignment across distributed teams
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate deep hands-on experience with Azure Event Grid, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Data Factory, including design, deployment, and operational optimization in production environments
  • Apply strong knowledge of cloud security, data protection, and identity management to shape architectures that handle sensitive investment banking and brokerage data in a safe, compliant, and resilient manner
  • Utilize experience in investment banking operations or brokerage domains to understand trade lifecycles, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting so that technical solutions directly address business challenges
  • Employ advanced skills in data modeling, integration patterns, and performance tuning to ensure that large-scale data pipelines and event processing systems meet demanding service level expectations
  • Use excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business operations, risk, compliance, and technology delivery groups
