Responsibilities
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to engineer and evolve Azure platforms through code. This role focuses on designing reusable infrastructure patterns, codifying architecture decisions, and enabling teams to self serve safely at scale.
  • What You'll Engineer
  • Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, with a strong preference for Azure Verified Modules (AVM)
  • AzOps-driven governance and platform configuration (management groups, policy, RBAC)
  • Deployment Stacks to manage resource lifecycle and ownership boundaries
  • Enterprise-scale Azure networking, including VNets, Private Link, Private DNS, and Virtual WAN (vWAN)
  • AKS platforms (cluster architecture, node pools, networking, upgrade strategies)
  • Dev/Test enablement using Azure DevTest Labs
  • CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) for validating and deploying infrastructure code
  • Design and build opinionated Azure platform foundations via code
  • Author and maintain modular, reusable Bicep templates
  • Engineer networking and connectivity patterns as reusable constructs
  • Build AKS as a shared, secure application platform (not workload babysitting)
  • Enable developers through golden-path patterns and automation
  • Collaborate with security and networking teams on platform-level architecture

Education / Qualifications
  • 5+ years hands-on Azure engineering experience
  • Strong Bicep expertise (modules, orchestration, parameterization)
  • Experience consuming AVM modules
  • Experience with AzOps or GitOps-style Azure management
  • Experience using Deployment Stacks
  • Strong Azure networking fundamentals, including vWAN
  • AKS platform engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Azure CLI and/or PowerShell
  • Engineering mindset: version control, abstraction, code reviews, repeatability
  • Certifications (Required / Preferred)
  • AZ 104 (or equivalent experience)
  • Preferred: AZ 305, AZ 400, AZ 500
