Job description

Amazon internships across all seasons are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work-day. Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes.

As a Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) Intern on the Global Financial Services (GFS) team, you will gain exposure to how AWS partners with the world's largest financial institutions to drive cloud adoption at scale. Working alongside experienced CSMs, you will contribute to high-impact programs that shape how customers migrate workloads, modernize applications, and harness the power of generative AI and agentic AI to reimagine business processes. You will develop business acumen, build technical fluency in cloud computing, and learn how cross-functional teams at AWS collaborate to deliver results at scale. Your work will directly inform the strategies and deliverables that CSMs bring to executive-level customer engagements, at a time when financial services organizations are rapidly transforming their businesses in the age of Agentic AI.
What You'll Do
• Develop cloud adoption strategies, migration roadmaps, and business case frameworks that CSMs leverage in customer engagements
• Research and evaluate generative AI and agentic AI use cases relevant to financial services and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
• Conduct analysis on financial services industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging cloud and AI adoption patterns to strengthen customer narratives
• Build and refine executive briefing documents, program status reports, and adoption maturity assessments
• Analyze customer cloud usage patterns and migration data to surface insights that drive decision-making
• Contribute to internal tooling, playbooks, and best-practice frameworks that scale the impact of the CSM team, including leveraging AI/ML tools to improve team productivity
• Partner cross-functionally with Solutions Architects, Account Managers, and Partner teams to synthesize inputs into cohesive plans
• Complete the AWS Cloud Practitioner, AI Practitioner and Solutions Architect Associate Certification while also participating in technical training, mentorship, and professional development events
• Complete a capstone project that delivers measurable impact to the GFS team or our customers' cloud journeys

• Has interest and aptitude to learn about cloud computing and AI/ML, with a "can-do" attitude and strong ownership
• Is curious about how generative AI and agentic systems are transforming the financial services industry

• Is comfortable with ambiguity and can work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to structure clear, concise narratives for senior audiences
• Is results-driven with analytical capability to provide data-driven insights
• Can collaborate effectively across teams with competing priorities
Key job responsibilities
• Create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services
• Interface with customer stakeholders, including developers, solutions architects, and team leads
• Drive effective feedback gathering from customers, distill and translate feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree with a graduation conferral date between May 2027 and July 2027.
- Experience in one or more technology domains, including but not limited to: Networking fundamentals, Databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows), AI/ML.
- Experience with Gen AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning (ML), etc
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or other related discipline
- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company
- Experience with one or more of the following domains: analytics, security, storage, DevOps, application development, or machine learning
- Experience in program and project management fundamentals
- Knowledge of AWS or cloud computing
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
