JMT is currently ranked #45 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms.

JMT is seeking a motivated individual who desires increasing responsibilities in designing and managing commercial, military, and general aviation projects.  The successful candidate will be responsible for technical civil aviation and/or aviation facilities design, task and project management, staff oversight, and project schedules, budgets, and team coordination.  Candidate must be well-versed in aviation design and construction standards (FAA minimum, FAA and DoD preferred). The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable aviation civil engineer with design experience, construction knowledge, and project management skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to effectively oversee and mentor developing staff, provide project status updates to department management, and support coordination with clients and subconsultants.  Work assignments may include, but are not limited to, management of small to medium design tasks, management of components of large design projects, technical design of engineering tasks. Project types include airport runway, taxiway and apron design ds well as facility projects such as Terminal building development, facilities repair and/or retrofit projects.  Tasks typically include contract drawing development, design and construction schedule development, construction cost estimating, technical specification development, and meeting coordination (internal and external stakeholders).

Assignments will be performed through a working knowledge of application design criteria, regulatory requirements, and standards and processes.  The candidate will be expected to manage multiple design assignments, including oversight and direction of design staff and coordination with clients and subconsultants; support the development of task/project scopes of work and personnel hour estimates, support the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets; design and review critical design elements, and incorporating feedback and comments from design reviews.
