Overview

Ardurra is seeking an Aviation Project Engineer to join our dynamic Aviation Group in Phoenix AZ, Mesa AZ, or Flagstaff AZ. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful aviation projects while enjoying flexibility. A current Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) is required.ย For qualified individuals, Ardurra offers relocation assistance and a signing bonus to help make your transition seamless.ย 

Required Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in civil engineeringย 
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in the airport consulting/engineering fieldย 
  • Professional Engineer License in Arizona strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and the FAA grant process.
  • Strong communication skills highly valued.
  • Computer skills must include experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Act as designer/project engineer for airfield capital improvement projects while working with EITโ€™s and other project team membersย ย 
  • Mentor EITs in the areas of grading design, pavement design, marking design, airport operational construction safety and phasing plans, and other components of airport designย 
  • Coordinate with internal staff and subconsultants throughout the project life cycleย ย 
  • Present design concepts, alternatives, and solutions to Project Manager ย 
  • Participate in construction inspection and oversight, either as construction inspector or as technical/administrative supportย ย

Physical Requirementsย 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerย 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsย 
  • ย Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle ย 

Salary Range

$85,000 to $110,000 (DOE)
