AV Specialist - JLL
What this job involves:
This role provides critical technical support for our state-of-the-art conference facilities, ensuring seamless audiovisual experiences for internal teams, customers, and C-level executives. As an AV Technician, you'll be the technical backbone of our Huntsville operations, maintaining conference room systems, troubleshooting issues proactively, and delivering exceptional white-glove service. You'll work with cutting-edge collaboration technologies and play a vital role in enabling productive meetings, training sessions, and special events that drive JLL's business forward. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working in a dynamic corporate environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Deliver white-glove technical support for internal meetings, client conferences, and C-level executive presentations, ensuring flawless audiovisual experiences
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks including software and firmware updates, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs to ensure uninterrupted conference room equipment operation
  • Assist with scheduling meeting rooms and provide comprehensive AV support for conferences, training sessions, and special events
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential audiovisual issues before they impact users, providing timely solutions to client concerns and needs
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot teleconferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and other collaboration tools
  • Provide technical expertise for Crestron Flex systems, Polycom VTC codecs, and other integrated AV systems
  • Communicate facility usage policies, rental procedures, and sponsorship guidelines clearly to employees and customers

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience OR High School diploma/GED with 5+ years of related experience in audiovisual or technical support
  • 2+ years of experience working in a client or customer service-oriented environment, preferably in a corporate conference center or similar facility
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications in a professional office environment
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for AV software and hardware configurations with demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to users at all organizational levels
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with exceptional service orientation and responsiveness to customer needs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a hotel or corporate conference center environment
  • Proficiency with EMS (Event Management System) or other web-based conference room scheduling platforms
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Crestron certifications (Crestron Flex, DMC, or related credentials)
  • Familiarity with integrated audiovisual control systems and ability to quickly learn new software platforms as needed
