Director, Events & Meetings, metro BOSTON
Our client, a leading provider of Audio Visual services for meetings and streaming events is seeking a Director, Events & Meetings to manage one of its high-visibility accounts.
This role will involve all aspects of running a high-end meeting venue, interacting with all departments and stakeholders, including clients, meeting planners, hotel management, catering and third-party consultants.
This position will be responsible for delivering high-quality results for customer events and meetings, including:
Areas of Responsibility:
  • Planning: technology, manpower, production.
  • Account Management: Ensure customer satisfaction,
  • Sales: maximize opportunity for the provider and the venue, generate new and follow-on business. Retain customers and grow revenue base.
  • P&L: Let's make money, not just be busy. Manage budget, expenses/ payroll, inventory, rentals, sales,
  • Reporting: Manage generation and distribution of reports to clients, partner, department heads and upper management

Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
4-6+ years in managing AV Services teams for meeting venue, hotel, resort, casino, convention or similar hospitality business.
4-6+ years in AV sales experience. Events, rentals, services or other AV-related sales experience preferred.
AV Technical knowledge: Know what you are selling!
Strong communications, organizational and computer productivity skills.
Strong drive for success, ethical, reliable, bias for action, high-performance and low-maintenance.
