As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a MS Teams Rooms AV/VTC Engineer. Project Summary

AIS is seekinga highly capableMicrosoft Teams Rooms AV/VTC Engineerto lead the design and standardization of conference room technology solutions supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms deployments across a range of room types and mission needs. This roleis responsible forselecting and defining theappropriate hardwarefootprints for various room configurations, ensuring that audiovisual (AV), video teleconferencing (VTC), and Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions are reliable, supportable, secure, and aligned to user experience requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess business, functional, and technical requirements for conference rooms, collaboration spaces, boardrooms, training rooms, and specialty meeting environments.

  • Define and standardize hardware footprints for multiple Microsoft Teams Rooms configurations, including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, room controllers, DSPs, switching, cabling,compute, and peripheral components.

  • Develop room design standards and reference architectures that account for room size, acoustic conditions, furniture layouts, user workflows, and collaboration requirements.

  • Evaluate and recommend AV and VTC hardware platforms compatible with Microsoft Teams Rooms and aligned to enterprise support, lifecycle, and budget considerations.

  • Design end-to-end Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions, including logical configuration, physical room integration, device interoperability, and management considerations.

  • Configure and support Microsoft Teams Rooms systems, including room accounts, device settings, peripherals, and integration with Microsoft 365 and Teams administration frameworks.

  • Lead or support installation, implementation, testing, and cutover activities for conference room deployments.

  • Troubleshoot AV, VTC, and Teams Rooms performance issues spanning audio quality, video quality, room control, device connectivity, user experience, and service integration.

  • Collaborate with network, collaboration, identity, endpoint, facilities, and security teams to ensure room solutions meet enterprise standards and operational requirements.

  • Produce andmaintaindesign documents, bill of materials, implementation guides, standard operating procedures, as-built diagrams, and support documentation.

Required For This Opportunity
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise AV, VTC, unified communications, or collaboration engineering roles.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and deployingMicrosoft Teams Roomssolutions in conference room environments.

  • Strong knowledge of AV fundamentals, including room acoustics, microphone coverage, speaker placement, DSP concepts, signal flow, switching, control systems, and display technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of VTC concepts, including room-based conferencing, camera framing,codec/peripheral behavior, media quality considerations, and meeting room interoperability.

  • Hands-on experience selecting and integrating AV hardware for a variety of room footprints and use cases.

  • Experience configuring Microsoft Teams Rooms devices and integrating them with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 services.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting large-scale Microsoft Teams Rooms rollouts across multiple facilities or campuses.

  • Familiarity with Teams Admin Center, Teams Rooms Pro management capabilities, and device monitoring platforms.

  • Experience with AV/VTC vendors and ecosystems such as Logitech, Poly, Yealink, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Biamp, Neat, Cisco, or similar.

  • Understanding ofstructured cabling, PoE, switching, QoS, and network requirements for room-based collaboration technologies.

  • Experience with secure or regulated environments where standardization, documentation, and controlled deployment practices are critical.

  • Relevant certifications in AV, collaboration, or Microsoft technologies are a plus.

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $102,000-$154,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
