Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamicSales Consultantwith a passion for AV technology and a strong background in private commercial and/or high-end residential sales. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels at building relationships, identifying client needs, and closing deals in a competitive, high-value market.



Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and target opportunities in the private commercial and high-end residential markets.
  • Build and nurture relationships with architects, designers, developers, and builders to generate new business.
  • Conduct client consultations to understand needs and propose customized AV solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to secure new projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure client satisfaction from initial contact through project completion.


Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance and support throughout the sales and installation process.
  • Collaborate with project management and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.


Project Management

  • Take ownership of a few existing accounts and manage ongoing projects to completion.


Industry Engagement

  • Stay informed about AV technology trends and innovations to provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand your professional network and promote ForTech Solutions Inc.


Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the AV integration or related industry. Project management experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of private commercial and high-end residential AV solutions and design.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients and industry professionals.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Good driving record.

Requirements Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in AV integration project management and sales, preferably in private commercial and high-end residential markets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, automation, lighting control, networking, and integration solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with AV design, blueprint reading, and system commissioning.
  • Exceptional sales, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage and close high-value deals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with high-end clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues on-site.

Technical & Software Proficiency

  • Proficiency in AV system design software, project management tools, and CRM platforms.
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Control4, Lutron, Savant, or similar automation systems is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, and AV programming tools is a plus.
  • Basic networking and IT skills related to AV systems (IP control, remote monitoring, etc.).

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelors degree in business, engineering, AV technology, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent industry experience.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CEDIA, Crestron, Lutron, or Control4) are a plus.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
