Job description

Job Summary: As a Costing Clerk, you will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep complete financial records for all vehicle sales.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Weekly reconciliation of New, Used, Vehicle Receivable, and We Owe schedules. Communicate with store management on any uncollected COD's or CIT's. Notate schedules and turn in monthly to Office Manager for review.
  • Maintain accounting sales logs and balance with the store logs.
  • Ensure all lien payoffs are done per vehicle receivable schedule.
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly stocked into accounting per New & Used vehicle schedules.
  • Maintain CIT log to ensure it stays up to date, and in balance with vehicle receivable schedule at month end.
  • Assist with other duties as required.

Work Environment and Abilities:

  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Must be able to operate computers programmed with account software to records, store, and analyze information.
  • Ability to sit at the computer for prolonged periods of time.
