Description
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 AreaTechnology Centers (ATCs) which serve 115 local feeder districts. A state Area Technology Center (ATC) is asecondary state operated school facility dedicated to the primary purpose of offering state approved four (4)-course Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways within CTE program areas identified by the OCTE. The Area Technology Centers under the Office of Career and Technical Education are organizationally part ofthe Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), a service agency within the Commonwealth of Kentucky under theEducation and Labor Cabinet. KDE supports the ATCs through guidance, resources, and oversight as part of itsbroader mission to ensure success for every student in Kentucky's P-12 public education system.

The Logan County Area Technology Center in Russellville, KY is looking for an Automotive Tech Instructor whois dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

Responsibilities include:
- Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
- Performs other duties as required.
Salary: Dependent on rank and experience
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the KentuckyTeachers' Retirement System.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
OR
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
OR
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):Personal ASE certifications in the areas the program is certified in. An applicant canbe hired without the needed personal certifications but must take and pass the needed ASE tests at the nextavailable testing period. (If hired April through September, must take and pass the needed tests during theNovember testing period. If hired October through March, must take and pass the needed tests during the Maytesting period).
