What You'll Do


As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will:


Welcome customers promptly and professionally.

Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document repair requests.

Prepare repair orders using dealership management software.

Recommend manufacturer-recommended maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs.

Communicate repair recommendations clearly and honestly.

Coordinate repairs with Toyota-certified technicians.

Monitor repair progress and proactively update customers throughout the service visit.

Review completed repairs and invoices with customers before delivery.

Promote preventative maintenance to help customers maximize vehicle safety, reliability, and longevity.

Build long-term customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals.

Achieve individual and department goals for customer satisfaction (CSI), sales, productivity, and repair order performance.

Maintain accurate documentation while following Toyota, dealership, BAR, and manufacturer guidelines.

Deliver an exceptional ownership experience on every customer visit.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Automotive Service Consultant preferred. 
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills. 
  • Strong sales, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment. 
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude. 
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems. 
  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Toyota dealership experience. 
  • Experience using DealerBuilt, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Tekion, Dealertrack, or similar dealership management systems. 
  • Knowledge of Toyota maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations. 
  • ASE Service Consultant Certification is a plus. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
