Description

Service Manager

Katy, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Great Service Managers aren't built by simply learning how to write estimates.

They're built by leading people. Earning trust. Creating exceptional customer experiences.

Holding a high standard every single day. Solving problems before they become bigger ones.

That mindset is what built Alloy Automotive Partners.

And it's exactly what we're looking for.

This isn't a role where you're simply overseeing the front counter.

You're leading the daily operation of the shop alongside the General Manager, helping technicians perform at their best, coaching advisors, delivering an outstanding customer experience, and driving the performance of the business.

Every interaction matters. Every vehicle matters. Every customer matters.

If you're someone who enjoys building relationships, developing people, and creating an operation that runs smoothly, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll help lead one of our high-performing shops while creating an experience that customers trust and employees are proud to be part of.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the daily workflow by dispatching repairs efficiently and maximizing shop productivity.
  • Creating an exceptional customer experience by resolving concerns, communicating clearly, and building lasting relationships.
  • Partnering with the General Manager to improve shop performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Leading by example through individual service sales while coaching advisors to improve performance.
  • Following up on declined work opportunities and helping customers make informed repair decisions.
  • Protecting and growing the shop's online reputation by encouraging positive reviews and professionally addressing customer feedback.
  • Supporting the team in whatever capacity is needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and live our values.

This Role Is a Fit If You:

  • Have experience leading a high-performing automotive service team.
  • Know how to coach people, not simply manage tasks.
  • Enjoy building strong relationships with customers and your team.
  • Can confidently balance customer satisfaction with business performance.
  • Communicate clearly and handle difficult conversations professionally.
  • Take ownership without waiting to be asked.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges.
  • Want to build something bigger than yourself alongside a growing organization.

Why Alloy Automotive Partners

We're building something that lasts, and it only works if our values are real.

We solve problems instead of talking around them.

We take ownership of outcomes, not just responsibilities.

We move with urgency and set the pace for the people around us.

We stay curious and keep getting better.

And when things get hard, we face them head on instead of backing away.

That's what creates teams that perform at a high level and continue raising the standard.

We also believe your career should support your life.

Many of us have families and responsibilities outside of work. This should add to your life, not take away from it.

Benefits

  • No weekends
  • No late nights
  • Competitive compensation
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
  • High-performing, team-oriented environment
  • Significant career growth opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily dispatch process by efficiently scheduling appointments, managing walk-in traffic, and coordinating workflow between service advisors and technicians to maximize productivity and achieve shop goals.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by listening to customer concerns, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process.
  • Partner with the General Manager to drive gross profit, optimize parts margins, and implement pricing strategies that improve overall shop performance.
  • Maintain individual service sales while setting the standard for the advising team through strong communication, education, and customer-focused recommendations.
  • Follow up on declined repair opportunities, address customer concerns, and help recover lost sales by providing additional information and solutions.
  • Build and protect the shop's online reputation by encouraging customer reviews and responding professionally to customer feedback.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the company's vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

Must possess the following Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in automotive service, service advising, or customer service leadership.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using automotive shop management software and learning new technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong customer-first mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting over 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
