We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring vehicle repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. Your energetic approach will inspire your team, drive sales through upselling and service recommendations, and foster lasting relationships with our valued clients. Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers warmly, listen actively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of needed repairs or services.
  • Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely completion of repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, alignment, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
  • Collaborate with technicians to diagnose automotive issues using automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge.
  • Develop detailed auto estimates and service writing that accurately reflect work scope and costs.
  • Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate record-keeping for all transactions.
  • Lead the team in delivering outstanding customer service by fostering a positive environment focused on professionalism and technical excellence.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of dealership processes, auto estimating software, and automotive repair procedures to optimize workflow.
  • Promote a safety-conscious workplace by adhering to safety protocols related to vehicle repair and shop operations.

Experience:
  • Proven automotive experience with a strong background in auto service management or as a service advisor.
  • Extensive mechanic experience with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair.
  • Demonstrated ability in automotive repair techniques combined with mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems.
  • Experience in auto estimating software and service writing to accurately document repairs and communicate with customers effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining trust.
  • Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus but not mandatory.
