How to be a Good Automotive Service Manager

A good automotive service manager has the right mix of automotive knowledge and people skills to be successful in this career. Most good automotive service managers spend a few years working as an automotive service technician or automotive service advisor. This work provides the hands-on experience needed for a career in management, but also means that the manager understands what the job entails and can manage their employees with reasonable expectations. A good manager also knows how to provide necessary training and correct issues on the team. Excellent administrative and organizational skills are also a must.
