Job description

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
Leith Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Wendell has an outstanding opportunity for a Service Manager to join their team and the Holman Family!
Principal Purpose of Position:
  • Offers and ensures that the shop offers the highest level of customer service.
  • Manages all aspects of service department operations: staffing, provision of vehicle services, warranty administration, client retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records.
  • Ensures that the daily inventory of Technician's time is consistently sold to service clients.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, Parts Personnel, Technicians and Warranty Administration.
  • Through communication, oversight and direction works to ensure employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and return on investment.
  • Promotes the recruitment and development of some or all: Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Assistant Managers and non-management employees.
  • Liaison with the manufacturer; works with factory representative to achieve factory objectives.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Training:
  • High School diploma or GED; College degree preferred and 5+ years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relevant Work Experience:
  • 5+ years of dealership service experience in various aspects of the service department which may include some or all of the following: technician, service advisor, team lead, foremen, Assistant Manager or similar related work; experience or working knowledge of car repair and customer engagement. Experienced in service principles, concepts and service department operations.
