MIGSO-PCUBED is looking for an experienced and passionate Cost Controller Consultant with industry experience to join our team and support our engagements. This position will be hybrid with 2-3 days a week in Zebulon, NC.

Experiencing a growth period in our New York hub, we are looking for a passionate individual to join the team.


What You’ll Do


As a Project Management Consultant, you will work within our global team of Project Management Consultants to deliver value. You will engage with key stakeholders and represent the MP brand. This role will have a strong focus on client delivery, with the opportunity to vary your experience and support our top engagements as part of our NY hub. Your responsibilities will be to:


1. Cost Management & Oversight:

  • Lead the development and implementation of cost control plans and processes across projects.
  • Monitor and analyze project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, risks, and variances, and recommend corrective actions.


2. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare detailed cost reports based on tools and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders, providing clear insights into financial performance.
  • Conduct advanced financial analyses to evaluate cost trends and resource utilization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data in compliance with policies and procedures.


3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineering team, procurement teams, finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless cost control practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations related to cost optimization and resource planning.
  • Build strong relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure cost transparency and adherence to contractual terms.


4. Leadership & Strategy:

  • Mentor and lead a team of cost controllers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance cost control systems and tools across the organization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure cost management.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are a plus).
  • Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project management, with a minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
