Job Description: Automotive Journeyman TechnicianLocation: O'Fallon, IL, 62269

Jack Schmitt Chevrolet of O'Fallon is expanding it's service department and has an immediate opening for an automotive journeyman technician. An automotive journeyman service technician should be familiar and capable of doing all aspects of automotive work, including but not limited to:

  • Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues with vehicles.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to repair and maintain vehicles.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively for automotive repair tasks.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance including powertrain and alignment adjustments.
  • Service automotive electrical systems and troubleshoot any related issues.
  • Interpret schematics and perform diesel engine repairs as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service while working on GM vehicles.
  • Maintain ASE Certification to ensure high-quality workmanship.
