Automation Tester with Playwright

Reston VA

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
  • Execute automated and manual test cases for web applications
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Identify, log, and track defects using test management and defect tracking tools
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing
  • Ensure test coverage across multiple browsers (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit)
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Playwright (JavaScript or TypeScript)
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks
  • Experience with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Experience testing REST APIs (Postman, Playwright API testing preferred)
