Quality Assurance Engineer

Manager notes:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience. Candidate must have experience with data interface testing. Mostly front-end browser interaction.
  • Main skills: Java, Selenium, Junit, Maven & SQL.
  • Heavy team focus: Product owners, scrum masters, Devs, etc.
  • Needs to be able to create and triage bugs, document them and work with teams to resolve them.
  • Needs to be able to do status reporting.
  • MUST have strong healthcare background (Claims Adjudication, EDI Processes).
  • First preference will be given to candidates local to the DMV area.

Requirements: Quality Assurance Engineer must have a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, software development processes and programming language as Java. He/she should be familiar with test automation tools like Selenium and have experience with SQL databases.

QA Engineer must be able to analyze complex problems and think critically to develop effective testing strategies. QA Engineer must have experience in each phase of Software testing Life Cycle, Software Development Life Cycle and Defect Life Cycle. Be experienced with manual testing Functional, Smoke, Regression, Negative, Positive, Integration testing. Must have very strong experience writing test cases using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Maven, Cucumber with Gherkin language, JUnit, TestNG, SQL and Jira to document. Also, have experience with Eclipse IDE. QA Engineer should be proficient in using Continuous Integration Tool like Jenkins for scheduled smoke and regression tests. Be experienced using GIT/Bitbucket - version control tool to access repositories. Professional must have experience in Agile Scrum method and contribute during Spring Grooming, Planning, Demo, Retro. Must demonstrate solid knowledge of Health Care Claims processing. Must have knowledge and experience in testing and development life cycle methodologies. Experience in testing web based applications. Experience in Claims processing and must be familiar with claims processing in healthcare industry. It will be a plus if they have knowledge of Enrolment processing. Experience processing claims using the 837 Institutional and Professional HIPAA Transaction. Experience using Jira. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
