Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support packaging operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in keeping production lines running efficiently by troubleshooting issues in real-time, supporting maintenance activities, and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams. This is a hands-on, floor-facing role focused on uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day automation support for packaging lines to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, controls, and equipment issues in real-time.
• Work closely with Maintenance Technicians and Automation Technicians to diagnose and correct equipment failures.
• Support maintenance activities and improve equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize production performance.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and site safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across packaging operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Hands-on automation experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and safe work practices.
• Experience supporting high-speed packaging lines.
• Proficiency with B&R (Bernecker & Rainer) Automation Systems.
