Job Description
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Pharmacy Automation Analyst in Pharmacy Informatics. As a Pharmacy Automation Analyst, you will be the Primary resource for providing automation auditing, system optimization, workflow optimization and new system implementations for the pharmacy department.
In this role as Pharmacy Automation Analyst, you will conduct analysis and provide support of information and automation to maximize the pharmacy's service to the patient population of the hospital. Manage staff education regarding automation system functions, optimization, bugs, enhancements, and problem-solving.
Essential Job Functions
  • Manages resources for automation auditing, system optimization, workflow optimization and new system implementations for the Pharmacy Department.
  • Independently performs analysis and support of information and automation to maximize the Pharmacy's service to the patient population of the hospital.
  • Serves as a staff expert regarding automation system functions, implementation, optimization, bugs, enhancements, and problem- solving.
  • In conjunction with management, establishes policies, procedures, standards, and objectives for automated systems and processes that increase employee efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree required
  • Excellent analytical skills in gathering information from users, defining work problems, and designing options to resolve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; collaboration with external and internal professionals and customers, and work with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, problem resolution, provide leadership and promote teamwork among technicians, and effectively train users.
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years' experience as hospital pharmacy technician preferred.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
