We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer to join our team supporting a leading Investment Banking client. The role involves working on a highly calculation-intensive financial application with a Windows-based UI and a microservices-based backend. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, an eagerness to learn, and a keen interest in automation and performance testing.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using the existing Java-based Spring Boot, Cucumber BDD automation framework.
  • Validate and enhance automation coverage for new features and requirements.
  • Perform end-to-end API and backend automation testing for microservices-based applications.
  • Execute complex validation of financial calculations, including large-scale JSON response validations.
  • Perform database validation using SQL queries.
  • Execute performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter for calculation-intensive application components.
  • Identify, report, and track defects using JIRA.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain automation scripts in Bitbucket.
  • Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes.
Skills Must Have
  • Strong knowledge of Automation Testing concepts.
