TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE- Flow Control & Automation
DIRECT HIRE
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Technical Inside Sales Engineer with direct experience in valve automation, electric and pneumatic actuators, flow control products, and industrial automation. This position supports customers by providing technical product recommendations, preparing quotations, and delivering automation solutions for industrial and oil & gas applications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as the primary technical sales contact for customers seeking valve automation, actuator, and control solutions.
  • Evaluate customer specifications and recommend automation products that meet operational requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and sales orders.
  • Apply technical knowledge to size and configure valve automation systems and related components.
  • Manage customer projects from inquiry through order completion.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing exceptional service and technical support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to deliver customized solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, projects, opportunities, and pricing strategies.
  • Track project opportunities and manage multiple quotes simultaneously.
  • Contribute to sales growth through solution-based selling and customer engagement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3+ years of Technical Inside Sales experience required, preferably within valve automation, flow control, instrumentation, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Previous valve automation experience is required, including experience with actuators, controls, valves, or related automation equipment.
  • Hands-on technical or technician experience in valve automation, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation systems and customer application requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and recommend appropriate automation solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications.
  • Previous AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service and ethical business practices.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours or travel when business needs require.
