ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will be for 2nd shift automation support.
  • Trouble shooting, programming, setting up and maintaining robotic systems.
  • Competent with basic computer skills: email, excel, word, teams etc.
  • Ability to understand geometric dimensioning and tolerance for both part quality and machine repair using precision measuring devices.
  • Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform calculations.
  • Provide manufacturing support for robotic equipment, key emphasis on maintaining and improving reliability and productivity of robotic equipment.
  • Programming and documenting code for robotic equipment and process operations.
  • Must work safely around industrial electronics and equipment and perform duties in a timely manner
  • Willing and able to assist other team members, oversee and train operators as needed.
  • Must perform, submit and track successful annual cost savings projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM 3 years' experience demonstrating proficiency with programming, (IE creating code from blank template on multi axis robotic systems) Must abide by company rules, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated teamwork, training and teaching skills. Must proficiently be able to perform advanced troubleshooting, setup, modifying parameters, and verification that equipment is producing products that meet GE specifications regarding part quality. Must possess mechanical and electrical root cause problem solving skills. Must work and perform set-up and troubleshooting duties in a timely manner. Experience with CAD/CAM a plus. Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in an industrial environment.

  • An outstanding attendance history.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to rapidly grasp concepts and understand manufacturing processes.
  • A desire to continue improving your knowledge and advance in the automation role.
  • Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Work independently or with others with limited supervision.
  • Capable and willing to work overtime, call in and weekends as needed.
  • Associates will interview with a peer panel and be selected upon skills, abilities, and engagement

This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
