  • Develops robotic programs for forge lines and machine tending
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to identify, address and resolve problems associated with automated manufacturing
  • Develops PLC programs for automated processes
  • Communicates with other departments in order to determine and support their engineering needs
  • Identifies areas to improve automated design, reduce cost and better manufacturing processes
  • Aids in the development of project cost estimates
  • Work with electrical department to coordinate projects that involve wiring, power supply and installation
  • Act as a technical resource for automation projects
