Job Title: DP Automation Programmer Department: Data Processing

Reports To: Manager, Data Processing Automation FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

As a Data Processing Automation Programmer, one would design, develop, and modify applications and programs to best suit defined processes and workflows to ensure the accurate and timely processing of data. Facilitate the onboarding of new customers, projects, and equipment to ensure a smooth transition into normal production. Working with .NET Applications, JavaScript, C#, Quadient Inspire Applications and other programs as applicable to role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan/program/implement complex layouts, projects, and workflows utilizing .NET Applications, C#, JavaScript, Quadient Inspire Applications and other automation and programing programs/tools required for the role.

Establish, implement, and follow Best Practices for Program development, testing, and code review to ensure and maintain a high quality of programming.

Evaluate current Data Processing workflows and processes for process improvements and LEAN workflow opportunities and make recommendations.

Utilize design documents and project planning to ensure all needs and goals of projects are fulfilled.

On-board new customers, projects, and production equipment to ensure all aspects of their respective workflows are established and streamlined.

Create documentation that supports the applications with their associated best practices, processes, and workflows to ensure streamlined processing by Data Processing Operators.

Provide recommendations for new software options to improve efficiency, including ROI for any purchases.

Conduct quality control tests/processes for upgrades and scheduled releases.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and solve complex problems with customer supplied or Nahan processed data.

Communicate with software technical support to problem solve software related file processing challenges.

Answer technical questions for customers, Customer Service, Sales and Production.

Act as technical liaison for the support and training for end users within and outside the department plus including external customer interaction for identified applications.

Support 6S initiatives as required for role.

Follow all Nahan Safety and Quality policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills Abilities Required:

Knowledge of computer programs used for data processing and direct mail letter setup such as TSS, Quadient Inspire, BCC, Adobe, Microsoft products, postal software and others.

Knowledge of the Domestic Mail manual, USPS rates and regulations.

Strong scripting skills in multiple languages and programming logic.

Strong comprehension of production equipment, their needs, functions and personalization required as related to Data Processing.

The ability to work independently and part of a team to take ownership of projects from start to completion.

Proficiency/fluent with English language, both written and verbal.

Education and Experience:

College degree in computer science, programming languages, math, or related field, required

2 years' experience in programming, software development, database management or related areas required.

5 years'+ experience in direct mail composition application, strongly preferred.

Experience in the print industry as an applications developer, preferred.
