Job Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (6 Months)
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure and automation experience
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC practices. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider and a solid background in scripting, security, and cost optimization - not a managerial profile.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform across AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and templates
  • Integrate Terraform workflows with ServiceNow and GitHub
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources
  • Manage cloud resource lifecycle including tagging, cleanup, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in production and staging environments
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cost management policies
  • Analyze cloud usage and costs; recommend and implement optimizations
  • Generate reports and dashboards for cloud spend visibility
  • Manage IAM roles, policies, and access controls
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native services
