Job description

Automotive Parts Manager Needed to oversee and lead our busy dealership parts department!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all daily operations of the Parts Department to maximize profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead, train, motivate, and develop parts department staff
  • Maintain proper inventory levels to support retail, wholesale, and service operations
  • Monitor inventory controls, obsolescence, stocking levels, and manufacturer return programs
  • Establish and achieve departmental sales, gross profit, and expense objectives
  • Work closely with service management to ensure timely parts availability and workflow efficiency
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and wholesale customers
  • Analyze departmental reports and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, dealership policies, and safety procedures
  • Oversee warranty parts retention and return processes
  • Manage parts ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory reconciliation
  • Promote a culture of exceptional customer service and teamwork throughout the department

Qualifications:

  • Previous Automotive Parts Management experience required
  • GM / Chevrolet experience preferred
  • CDK experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dealership parts operations, inventory management, and manufacturer programs
  • Proven track record of achieving sales, profitability, and inventory performance goals
  • Experience with dealership management systems and electronic parts catalogs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
