$80k - $110k Target | 5-Day Work Week | No Sundays
Meineke S. Kirk is seeking a Lead Technician to anchor our service operations. We are a locally-owned shop focused on heavy diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and comprehensive repair-not just basic maintenance.
We are looking for a technician who wants to apply their experience to complex work without the distractions of a corporate dealership. You will have access to updated equipment (Autel/Hunter) and a workload that prioritizes major repairs over high-volume lube work.
The Shop Environment:
  • Equipment: We run the Autel MS909 and a dedicated Hunter Alignment rack. The shop is fully tooled for complex diagnostics.
  • Workflow: We prioritize comprehensive repair over high car counts. You will focus on diagnostics and heavy-line work, not fighting the clock on oil changes.
  • The Transition: We understand the risk of moving shops. We provide a strong weekly guarantee during your onboarding period so you don't lose income while learning our flow.

The Pay & Schedule:
  • Target Earnings: $80,000 - $110,000 annually (High Flat Rate).
  • Schedule: 5-Day Work Week. Closed Sundays
  • Benefits: Health Insurance packages available.
  • Support: Dedicated Service Manager to sell your tickets-you diagnose it, we sell it.

Qualifications:
  • Diagnostics: You must be comfortable with electrical, drivability, and complex engine repairs.
  • Leadership: You set the tone for quality in the back of the shop.
  • The Skills: ASE Certifications are a plus, but we value real-world diagnostic ability over a piece of paper. If you can fix it right the first time, we want to talk to you.

Location: Meineke Car Care Center - S. Kirkwood Rd, Houston TX
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
As a leader in the automotive aftermarket, Meineke is constantly looking for driven and talented individuals to join our team. In over 700 shops spanning coast-to-coast, we look for those who share our passion for high quality repair work to help get our customers back on the road.
A career with Meineke means putting your knowledge and hard-earned skills to work in a locally-owned shop. Whether you're looking for a position as a Shop Manager, Technician, or Service Advisor, Meineke provides opportunities for real-world experience in your local area.
