About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician with two plus years of prior experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass on various vehicles, ensuring the highest level of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position comes with most glass tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle.

This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am - 4:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. We offer competitive hourly compensation, as well as medical, vision, dental, PTO, paid holidays, paid life insurance, paid volunteer program, and 401(k) with company match plan. The Auto Glass Technician will report to the Glass Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Inspect and assess damaged auto glass to determine appropriate repair or replacement techniques
  • Remove damaged windshields, side, and rear windows using proper tools and safety protocols
  • Accurately install replacement glass using urethane adhesive and ensuring proper fit and seal
  • Repair small chips and cracks to prevent further damage and maintain structural integrity
  • Explain procedures and recommendations to customers, ensuring they understand the work performed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safety of customers and team members
  • Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record according to company policy
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Auto Glass industry
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Prior technical schooling or training related to the automotive field is preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background and credit check

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift or carry large and heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
  • Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods during service tasks
