Job description

Overview
We are looking to add a Senior Audit Support Assistant to our Provider Services team! This role will efficiently and professionally handle more complex, broad daily administrative activities within the audit engagement. Some responsibilities include responding to claim status inquiries, generating reports, managing claim work queues, claim tagging, and data entry. This role works collaboratively with other internal Cotiviti teams to investigate escalated claim questions and advocate resolutions on behalf of providers.
Responsibilities
  • Provides Specialized Administrative Support. Performs more focused or complex support and administrative assignments for the audit, including file management, data management,
  • Generates and Analyzes Reports. Generate reports to consolidate claim details for the internal and external partners.
  • Proof Claim Information. Provides detailed proofing support on claims submittals to ensure accuracy of totals, verbiage, calculations or other key variables prior to client submission.
  • Meets or Exceeds Standards for Productivity. Maintains productivity goals and standards set by the department. Insures all department rules and processes are followed. Alerts manager of system issues or other issues impacting productivity.
  • Meets or Exceeds Standards for Quality. Achieves the expected level of quality set by the department. Verifies completeness and accuracy of work. Alerts manager of issues or concerns impacting quality of work.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent education.
  • 3+ years' administrative support.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system databases.
  • Requires working knowledge of and applicable industry based standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in an individual and team environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3+ years' medical billing and provider reimbursement experience.
  • Job Demands:
    • Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones.

Mental Requirements:
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Base compensation ranges from $21.00 to $25.25 per hour. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
Nonexempt employees are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a given week, or as otherwise required by applicable state law.
