Job description

Title: AV Technician
Location: Raleigh, NC
Pay Scale: $20 - $28
Duration: Contract to Hire
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Responsible for the installation, modification, repair and maintenance of AV integrated systems including audio, video and control of related equipment. Other responsibilities include managing all field related operations for assigned projects including oversight of Level I and Level II technicians.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
โ€ข Install, terminate and test low voltage cables and fiber optic cables as needed.
โ€ข Route cable through conduit, above ceilings and between floors per job specifications as needed.
โ€ข Read and comprehend technical schematics, operation manuals, maintenance instructions and procedures.
โ€ข Verify all drawings, codes, site pictures, and job descriptions are complete and accessible.
โ€ข Assemble and test equipment racks per the rack build schedule.
โ€ข Verify all cables, connectors, hardware and tools needed for project completion are available.
โ€ข Properly label all cables.
โ€ข Perform any necessary red-line changes as needed.
โ€ข Inventory and deliver all equipment to the job site.
โ€ข Perform minor DSP changes and load control code as necessary.
โ€ข Ensure that the job is completed to NetPlanner Systems and industry standards for a safe and fully functional system.
โ€ข Update project progress in a weekly status report at the end of each week.
โ€ข Complete projects within budget, on time, and in a safe manner.
โ€ข Maintain the company's high standards of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, and team members.
โ€ข Submit all paperwork on time.
โ€ข Adhere to all required project specific as well as company safety requirements.
โ€ข Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Working Environment & Physical Requirements:

โ€ข May be exposed to airborne particles and dirt in outdoor or construction environments.

The employee must regularly:
โ€ข Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
โ€ข Must be able to stand, walk, reach and with hands and arms, for up to eight hours daily.
โ€ข Must be able to coordinate hands and eyes while using automated tools and equipment.
โ€ข Must be able to handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc.
โ€ข Must be able to use one hand for twisting or turning motions while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
โ€ข Must be able to climb up and down ladders (8 feet routinely)
โ€ข Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl in all environments (basements, crawl spaces, attic/ceilings, etc.).
